Official website of the Global Council for Protecting Traders' Rights

Legal Support and Consultations

Traders who do business across borders face legal and commercial risks. The Council works to ensure that they do not face them alone.

How we protect traders

  • Representing traders and advocating for their legitimate rights before the relevant institutions, locally and internationally.
  • Providing legal guidance through the Council's Legal Counsel in each country.
  • Contributing to the fair and practical resolution of trade-related disputes, including through negotiation and mediation.
  • Raising awareness of traders' rights and obligations through the Global Academy.

A legal network in every country

In each country, the Council works with a leading lawyer who serves as its Legal Counsel. Legal Counsel advise traders on local law and procedures and help them find the right way to resolve their cases.
