How a complaint is handled

  1. 1

You submit your complaint with the supporting documents.

  2. 2

The Council registers it, classifies the problem and sets its priority.

  3. 3

A case officer is assigned and works with the Country Director and Legal Counsel concerned.

  4. 4

The parties are contacted, the documents are reviewed and every step is recorded.

  5. 5

The Council issues a recommendation – through negotiation, mediation or referral to the competent authority.

  6. 6

The case is closed once it has been handled, and you are asked to rate the service.

Confidentiality and protection

Every complaint is handled in confidence.

  • The parties' data is protected.
  • Access is limited to the people handling the case.
  • A complete audit trail records every action.
  • Files and correspondence are encrypted.

The Council is also preparing mediation and arbitration services for trade disputes.
